£500 fine for using doggy Waste Disposal

Post by bernicarey »

A Retford company has been fined after 100s of plastic clock faces were fly-tipped.
The firm has been hit with a £500 fine for a 'duty of care' waste offence after the clocks were dumped by unlicensed waste company.
No mention of who the Waste Contractor was, so presumably they were some gash blokes with a tipper truck who came knocking... .scratch

A very small fine! South staffs council name and shame on social media including the residents who they have traced the waste back to and the fines are always £2000.
For brilliance and, at the same time, for consistency of achievement, for activity in philanthropic enterprise, for astuteness of management and for general alertness, the superiors of Aston Villa cannot be found

Totally agree.
£500 is relative peanuts, even for a small company. Not exactly a deterrent for using underhanded waste disposal firms. Even with the mandatory reduction for an early plea, it's still small change.
