Hi all,
I have recently joined a new company and i am setting up HSE systems, as they literally have none.... not even monitoring utility usage and cost... i previously used a spreadsheet which would track annual usage and savings etc but its corrupted unfortunately; does anyone have that sort of thing?
Also, how do i upload documents onto the download section? I think i have some good forms i've created to share.

Good Morning. If you have documents you would like to contribute to HSfB, please contact myself or Jack by PM in the first instance. You cannot upload yourself, but we will be more than happy and grateful to receive and upload your forms E&S.Elf&Safety wrote:Hi all,

Have a look through our downloads for something to help with your spreadsheet request. http://www.healthandsafetytips.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Monitoring
I monitor utility usage for my plant (as does any sensible business) but it all depends on where you get your usage data from to offer a suite of spreadsheets ...do you just use the bills? Daily meter readings ? On-line telemetry? In house systems? I get a lot of my data in RAW .CSV format, which is great for 'sucking' into MS Excel (I have half-hour Gas, Water & Electricity and by-minute for the abatement system). When you write you want to show savings, what is it you want to show savings against? Last year's consumption? A kWh v product KPI?
I doubt anyone would have anything that would immediately fit what you want unless they were in the exact same business. If you want to PM me with some details I could possibly help if your Excel skills are a little 'rusty'.

Re: Monitoring
Thanks for your reply, I will be using actual bills and supplied data from the supplier web site.. so i should have 15minute interval readings i believe. It's more just having a spreadsheet for recording all that type of data so i can make quarterly and annual comparisons on consumption; so my comparison will be year on year consumption against man hours worked i would think; the saving element i can put the unit cost against the difference in kWh.jonsi wrote:I monitor utility usage for my plant (as does any sensible business) but it all depends on where you get your usage data from to offer a suite of spreadsheets ...do you just use the bills? Re: Monitoring
If you can get your data (Half hour or 15 min) in .CSV format from your Utility Supplier then it would be relatively simple to create what you need (this is usually downloadable).Elf&Safety wrote:Thanks for your reply, I will be using actual bills and supplied data from the supplier web site.. so i should have 15minute interval readings i believe. I have Water, Gas and Electricity data that way and it's great for keeping an eye on things pretty much in real time instead of waiting until the bill turns up 2 weeks into next month. Your could be 6 weeks on before you knew you had an issue that way.
If you want something doing on Excel, PM me with some of your .CSV data and an idea of what you want doing with it and I'll see what I can come up wth
