Re: Hudl
Hi Penfold,
My 12 and 8 year olds have had Hudl's since last christmas and pretty much dont put them down.
Not used them massively myself but they have access to plenty of apps, set up email, web browsing, you tube etc.
I have seen the Hudl 2 is coming out soon. assuming it is a step up from the first it should be good.
Check out reviews and comparisons to other tablets should give you a good idea

Re: Hudl
Hello Penfold, what sort of budget do you have for a tablet if you don't mind me asking? Ive had quite a few tablets in the past, mostly used and got rid as I'm a pain like that! I may be able to recommended some if it could help? What sort of things will your little one be after using it for?
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

Re: Hudl
Hi Penners,
Id be very much swayed to go for the Hudl 2 at around £130. The feel, graphics and sound quality from this device is superb, a much better improvement from the first Hudl and yet they have done what others don't do... Keep the price down, for what your little one will want to be using this for, i think this would be more than adequate and he won't be disappointed, especially with the amount of colour variations and nice memory of 16gb.
Next in line would be the Galaxy Tab 4 (7in) at around £140 which does offer a more better interface and alike, build quality and graphics are a lot more fluid, clearer and quicker, i don't think it would withstand too many drops thou.
Thou a little more expensive, you could pick up an iPad Mini up for £150 - 160 - for me, thou I'm biased as i have a lot of Apple products, i have left this until last as i really don't think for the functions he will be after and the brilliant value for money on the Hudl 2, they really isn't any need to go for Apple unless he really is into his hard graphic games, sound quality, videos and apps etc. Ohh.... iPads don't withstand too many drops also

Re: Hudl
I too have heard fantastic things from owners of the new Hudl. I've had a quick go on one and it was comparable to my Samsung Galaxy Tab and that is perfect for surfing the web. I think your little fella would be thrilled with a Hudl in my opinion.
