Spreadsheet Data

Post by DennisH »

Hi,

I am trying to filter out multiple data to collate some information, now I am ok in doing countifs for a single column but how do I do if for multiple columns ? any one in simple terms please

Example Column 1 has multiple names eg place of accident ( I am ok at counting them) Colum 2 has multiple type of injury - what formula do I use to collate the multiple information from one big spreadsheet ?

Thanks in advance

Sounds to me like you need a pivot table!

Yup pivot tables are good for this type of stuff. Whenever I've been stuck with spreadsheet maniopulation I post my query on http://www.excelforum.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and someone has always managed to provide me with a solution - usually within the hour. Certainly worth a try from my experience.
