NEBOSH exams. Open or closed book?
When I first looked at doing NEBOSH several years ago I could swear I was told the exams were all closed book exams. However, I was on a course the other week and someone said the exams were now open book.
Can anyone confirm?

The only open book scenario would be, (once agreed by NEBOSH only), would be a dictionary/translate for non-English speaking candidates and even then it isn't guaranteed.wendolene26 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2017 7:43 am Hello Stephen,

Perhaps someone was talking about NVQ'S?

Thanks. Was pretty sure it was closed book, but this person was adamant about it being open book. Thought I would check as open book would be a piece of yellowish bodily fluid and I would have booked the exam straight away.

If I remember correctly, we even had to take the labels off our bottles of water!

Guy,s
On my exam in July, they didn't go as far as taking off labels, but they did make me empty out all my pockets and store them in a locker in the room, even the independant examiner couldn't read a book for the 2 hour session, she had to monitor the student. Yes there was only me in the room

Re: NEBOSH exams. Open or closed book?
Thanx Alexis your a legend
I have my resit on the 10th November, I have been gathering as many past Exam papers and flash cards as i can lay my hands on. My plan is to study a couple of questions per night, Being on this site has helped because I thought i was the only one that had failed the first time. I find it difficult because there is no feed back from Nebosh on how i performed in the exam,I thought i'd done well on my first exam. (obvisously didn't) Like Stu Failed NGC1 and scrapped through on NGC2 but blasted NGC3. It didn't help that i had work breathing down my neck to pass, but they didn't offer up any information or help along the way. This time i have rebooked and not told work (resit was £50)so they think I am waiting for them to book it, Fingers crossed by the time they get round to it, I might have some good news
