ECHA - 10 years of making chemicals safer
"On 1 June 2017, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is 10 years old. During those 10 years, ECHA has been working to protect human health and the environment from the toxic effects of chemicals, promote their safe use, control the most dangerous ones and encourage innovation.
Helsinki, 1 June 2017 – In 2007, over 40 pieces of European chemicals legislation were replaced by a single law, REACH. The aim was to improve human health and the environment, encourage innovation and keep the EU’s chemical industry competitive."

Based on the timescale for negotiating the UK’s exit from the EU it is our understanding that those UK-based companies affected still have the legal obligation to register their substances by the 2018 deadline."

Thank you for this WB. Interesting and informative for anyone concerned how it affects them with Brexit on the horizon.
