Unit D Again

Post by caryatid »

Does anyone have any experience of submitting an EAR for Unit D (the old one)?
Marked up or down?
I am wondering whether the marking process is more rigorous for the assignment and therefore less likely to be altered, as opposed to the exams. And this would make me less inclined to risk the £100.
Any thoughts?

Hi Caryatid,

Depends on how far away you were to a pass?
If you were only 1 to say 4 marks away i would ear.
As for the process to be more rigorous, the chances are it will be another examiner who may mark differently to the first one.
Don't forget that this could go either way though! the first examiner could be a lenient marker?
Or if you accept the result. Get feedback from your tutor and concentrate on the areas that require improvement.
Keep at it! You'll get there in the end. Good luck if you go down the EAR route.

Many thanks for your response, I do appreciate it. I am 3 marks adrift and will probably try an EAR, just wondered if anyone had experience.
My 'tutor' helpfully responded to my last plea for help with a list of areas they were 'not required' to comment on! So I am not expecting any input from that direction...

Well the EAR came good with an extra 4 marks. So, thankfully, that's my diploma done and dusted!
