NVQ L5 Unit 601

Post by Tommy1407 »

Hello

Back again, this site may prove invaluable, lol.

Can anyone help with Unit 601 as I have only limited involvement with policy development? I can answer some parts of the unit but there are others that i'm struggling to get my head round.

Thanks in advance

Onwards and upwards

Hello there I am new to this brilliant forum and was wondering if I could have some assistance on this unit also, as I have had limited experience in policy development. Any advice greatfully received. Thank you

My advice to anyone undertaking an NVQ is to widen your thinking.
Talk to your mentor or other contact to discuss options.
Look at the exact wording and then step back and think of all the ways that wording might be interpreted.

For example, I did an NVQ4 decades ago in management.
One of the elements was about 'Recruitment'.
As a SNCO in the RAF I had no influence on recruitment policy to the service, but what I could do was generate some memos about internal vacancies and whether they would be filled by internal movements or from external postings into the establishment I worked at.

Similarly, there was an element on Finances. I had no such responsibilities at work, but I was also a Cub Scout leader. I used the accounting aspects of a Cub scout camp instead.
