Evening everyone
Just wondering if anyone has used their qualification towards a top up degree. I'm just finishing my level 6 NCRQ but would really like to do a degree - anyone else transfered credits?
Thanks in advance

Is level 6 not already a degree level qualification? Surely it makes more sense and is probably cheaper to do a masters?

Hi
Thanks for your reply. This is what Im waying up - the level 6 is kind of degree level without the dissitation. To do this part and make it up to a degree is really expensive so im thinking of going straight to masters. My concern is the ability to "write academically". Im looking at the Msc at Hull so would be intetested in peoples experience. :-)

Hello,
There are a few places who do the 'top up' you are talking about, including Greenwich, Hull, Middlesex, Loughborough, Leeds Becket and some others.
Some entry requirements vary, some will accept the NCRQ, others won’t - some also base on your current experience etc.
I have considered this route also after completing the NCRQ Dip, however I am not quite sure how it will benefit my career currently, so I am yet to be sold on the idea, as it is also expensive.
Best of luck whichever route you go down.

Re: Top up to degree
Hi pmbl,
I had my Diploma and decided to go for the Greenwich Uni BSC (Hons) top up. I have just finished my last assignment and about to start the dissertation. I have found it ok, I completed my Diploma through distance learning so it just needed me to get back into the swing of things again.
There is quite a bit of work involved, especially when you are working full time, but it is achievable.
My decision was purely down to wanting to keep learning and make sure the grey matter is still active.
