Jan 2010 Question 2, covers a fire at a petrol storage facility. In the examiners feedback it mentions:
1. High level alarms with at least double redundancy of the alarms = what is meant by this?
2. An adequate supply of fire fighting water; the redundancy of water pressurisation = again please advise?
Thanks.

Re: Diploma Unit C Fire Questions
High Level alarms - systems to tell staff that the Storage Tank is reaching Full. There have been high profile cases where such systems have failed and caused massive explosions. If memory serves correctly, Buncefield was one of those. They spent about 2 hours filling a tank that was already full!
Plenty of water and not relying on Mains pressure. So open lakes, underground tanks that Fire Trucks can connect to, etc.
