Morning all,
Well it just goes to show that farming needs to be flexible.....rat attack day did not happen, moving sheep did instead. And as we were not able to get to the fields till 1500 hrs, and the lambs needed worming and blow fly spraying it was gone 2200 hrs before the last one was moved. So that for me was a 15 hour day.
Alexis, I think that is one of the reasons there are accidents and deaths within the farming community, too much needs to be done, but there is not the money to hire multiple labourers to assist, so everything is done within the family mostly, and slight short cuts are made to shave precious seconds off a task. Invariably, this will cause incidents to happen unfortunately.
The beasts we sent to market yesterday alas did not do as well as we could have hope for, but that will not mean you get cheaper beef, not happy about that.
Hope you all have a wonderful day
Friday 06 July

Re: Friday 06 July
Let's take a moment to remember the 167 souls who perished on 6 July 1988.
You are only a millimetre or a millisecond away from the next incident.
