Thursday 4th January 2018

Exactly what the title implies...pop in and say "good morning" or even "good evening" and tell us what's on the cards for today or how your day went.

 As long as they read them and start their day with a smile, then we have done our job!

Mild morning here. A bit in slow, (but positive), mode this morning, partially due to Jack's old amazing dog gone to pastures new last evening. Anyone who has a family pet of any kind will understand how the whole family genuinely grieve at such a loss.

For Jack and his family. bighug bighug

Afternoon all,

Hope you all had a good festive period, and your 2018 so far has been good to you.

We had a lively one here, with the youngest picking up his adorable Springer Spaniel, and then promptly falling foul of the lurgy, so rest of family was running round cleaning up puppy mess etc...All good fun, and the wee scamp was soon a firm part of the household. New Years Eve saw youngest in A&E with his back, and after 5 years of growth and a few falls, he had managed to break at least one of the titanium screws in his back, and so yesterday, after much physical pain of being un able to look after puppy, and much emotional pain to the whole household, puppy went back to breeder. Whilst youngest was right in the fact he can not give the pup the time and attention it needed, the rest of us were willing to help out, but it was not our decision to make, and so the house feels empty without him here (despite the 6 cats!) Youngest is heart broken but has to look at the fact he will be in hospital some time this year to have his back re looked at. I told him if it is meant to be then puppy will still be available once the operation is sorted, and he can go bring him home then (I hope so anyway!)

Hope you have a fine rest of the week, I am back to work Monday. .salut

What a nightmare for all of you Ady!! Sending lots of bighug to your youngest for a not too painful surgery and speedy recovery.
