NCRQ question.

Post by stephen1974 »

I've decided to abandon NEBOSH as i'm having zero success in remembering lists and i'm going to do the NCRQ diploma instead.

In searching for a provider however I've only found one, and thats from the NCRQ website, which says the diploma is Level 6.
If I type "NCRQ provider" in to google I get a bunch of hits but thet all say level 5 NVQ.

Are NCRQ the only peole who do the NCRQ diploma? if not, who else does the same qualification. I'm not looking to do a Not Very Qualified.

I have no problem doing it through NCRQ if they are the only people but its always nice to look at the options. Especially when asking the bank of dad to pay for something.

HI

I had already tried the search function. Lots of stuff on NCRQ vs Nebosh but nothing on providers of the course. At least not that i could see.

Hi Stephen, in a nutshell, yes, NCRQ are the people who invented this means of doing a level 6 in Applied Health and Safety. There are no providers except NCRQ.

As with HSWA being the umbrella Act to all the Regulations, NCRQ are the original umbrella and the only provider.

Hope that explains things for you. .salut

Stephen, I cannot recommend NCRQ highly enough. The method of study is great for me and the support is excellent. NEBOSH and NVQ are not for everyone so it is great that NCRQ have brought another option to the table

I have to agree with David, NCRQ have put out there a fantastic qualification.

I have just completed the diploma, looking forward to their fire and construction certificate coming very soon!

Just signed up to it. Looking forward to getting started, especially as my job role is about to change to a really boring, butt on chair with little to do one.

Well done Stephen! Enjoy your study. Certainly won't be a lot of boring times for you in the coming year now. .salut

Hi,
I have a couple of questions related with NCRQ.
The content for study and the exercises are all done online or is sent by post?
How is the job market looking for the ones with NCRQ qualification?

Thank you.

Cant comment on the job market but for the course work, it is done both online and off line.
I've just started and have been sent through work books. Dont know if more are to follow but I dont think so as they cover the 3 sections of the course.
They are full of case study material.
You then go online and work through online material alongside thr course book material.
My first assignment is done offline and I have to send the documents to them (upload them). I assume the majority of assignments will be like this.
