Maybe it's just me being out of date but since when has the SMSTS qualification been used as a post-nominal after your name?

Have you seen unusual and wrong use of qualification post noms?
I have seen a number of people on sites such as LinkedIn using SMSTS and even SSSTS after their name

What is acceptable now?
PTLLS, FAW, 25mtr swimming award?

I am now in the process of cleaning my monitor of the tea that was sprayed on it while laughing at this.

I noticed someone on LinkedIn stated that the SMSTS can be used as post-nom (cos he is using it) .scratch
I can't find the post now or any evidence that its true

Professional Bodies and Organisations usually publish their rules for use of Post Nominals and some will take action against people who flout those rules.

IOSH for example, have rules about using Post-nominals and also their Brand Logo, yet it's often seen on websites in breech of those rules.

One of my favourites over the years is former military officers using (Retd).
The MOD is quite clear that only those of Army Major or equivalent may do so, so that's a Sqn Ldr in the RAF or Lt Cdr in the RN; yet you will sometimes see Army Captains or lower using it. Naughty naughty!

SMSTS is not even a qualification or professional membership, it's just a training course!

Might as well put 'IOSHManSafe' and then really get in trouble over it! ;)
