Shorts

Post by MCJ1983 »

Hi guys, been carrying out a few site visits in the heat and told a couple of guys to put trousers on as they have been told not to wear shorts for work(it's civil engineering) and also t shirts with sleeves must be worn under hi vis vests. Just wondered if there's any legislation to back this up?

Regards

Mike

It's down to compliance with your risk assessment and method statement ;)
It says "Press any key," where's the "any" key?

I on the other hand, have just asked why none of the guys in the factory are wearing shorts (3 out of 50ish) to be told the works manager decided they cant on health & safety grounds.

When I spread the word that there was no such ruling and I didn't have a problem with it I went from zero to hero in 10 mins..

It's all down to why how and when>

Ummm..... But now you've undermined the authority of the Works Manager and will have problems in the future when you need his support...
