I have shut myself in a meeting room and splattered things on a whiteboard before, taken a photo and worked off that, may help. Sounds like you have some culture issues there though. Good luck!

Can you not bring a bit of a team in on it? One of the people from the relevant task and a supervisor, set it up on a display and go through it and get them to sign off on it too.

Dear all,
In the UK can a construction company certify its own operators on Excavators, JCBs, shovels telescopic lifts etc? I am aware of the benefits of using a third party training provider.

On a large construction project would it be normal to have a person in charge of ensuring compliance with UK legislation? A "compliance officer" of sorts.
