Re: pttls on line

Completed the level 4 last year. It took more than quotes from a book to pass. level 3 and 4 are both different qualifications and as such require different standards for completion. A very good course though, learned a lot from it.

Re: Dynamic Risk Assessment Template

I would agree with Messy that you are not making a DRA. All that you are looking at doing is adding to a "generic" assessment to make it site specific. By generic I mean that you have looked at the work and made the assessment prior to any persons being at work.

Re: Clarification on HAV

then you can use the higher rate, remember that this is the maximum time for all exposure during the day, so if using different tools you have to add all the times and exposure, this is why we use the lower level its easier to manage

Re: Clarification on HAV

You can only use the LEV 5 m/s2 A(8) if your operatives are on a health surveillance program for HAVS. WE always use the lower limit 2.5 m/s2 A(8) and conduct health surveillance this way we know we are below the required action levels.

Re: Safety Helmet stickers

This is the old adage; Principal contractor can set what ever rules he likes as long as they are in writing
Another one that they use is so that you are able to communicate your whereabouts to the emergency services you have written inside your hard hat the post code for where you are working.
