Thanks all for the advice.
I have produced a comprehensive internal report but not reported to HSE as I feel that 2 weeks working as usual doesnt constitute a report.
I wouldn't have expected that response from the HSE but it's good to know thanks again

RIDDOR Query- Time off but not immediately following inciden
Hi all Im hoping someone may be able to shed some light on this.... One of my guys had an accident at work and banged his back, he continued working, for that day, the rest of the week and the following week. The accident was reported internally but not under RIDDOR as no lost time resulted. 2 weeks...

19amp equipment with 16 amp plugs?
Hi It has been brought to my attention that our stock of Makita 9" grinders (which are rated to 19 AMPS full load) are being sent out 16AMP plugs fitted and generally with a Transformer with a 16AMP socket. Am I right in thinking that this wont suffice. Surely a 32amp plug would be safer? Any a...

RIDDOR Reporting- overturned MEWP
Hi everyone Looking for a bit of guidance if anyone can assist please. There has been an incident involving a MEWP dropping off a flat bed trailer whilst unloading and overturning with the driver in the basket. I know this needs to be reported under RIDDOR but I am a little unsure of the category. I...

Adequacy of mining pollution controls
Hi all, I am hoping that someone may be able to help me as I am loosing the will to live trying to finish off my assignment. The report is split into 3 sections: sources of mining pollution, evidence that sources are controlled, and suggestive measures that can reduce pollution within the mining ind...

Re: Is it worth asking for a remark?
I have submitted the EAR. I am prepared for the mark to go down, my reckoning is that I got a mark of 209, and you need over 180 for a credit so hopefully if it did go down, it wouldn't go down by 29 marks. I have just asked for the FC1 to be remarked as this was my lowest score. Its quite strange a...

Is it worth asking for a remark?
I have received my results today and passed with a credit, missing out on a distinction by just 3 marks. I know this seems really pathetic, but I got a distinction in the general and construction certs, both of which seemed so much harder than the fire cert and I am really disappointed that I missed...
