Re: ncrq assesment 1

I know exactly what you mean, I always get a sense of relief when I have sent over an assignment as I know its out of my hands until I get the result and feedback. Generally I am finding the course very enjoyable, and I am a total worrier and over thinker when it comes to things like this so it must...

Re: ncrq assesment 1

haha in that case send it. until you do you will never know if you have written enough or too much or if you have missed anything out. Your assessor will give feedback at the end of marking too which is helpful as you go through the course. The more assignments you do the more confidence you get as ...

Re: ncrq assesment 1

Hi David, I am half way through the 2nd book, I have found that the feedback from the assessors is very comprehensive. Sometimes its easy to allow yourself to get so caught up in what you may have missed that cant see the wood for the trees if you see what I mean. I suggest taking a day away from it...

Re: Dust from industrial laser.

Another thing to consider, we are currently delving much further than ever before into DSEAR and have been told that this dust may be explosive which means we would need to ensure it was controlled effectively so as not to be exposed to a source of ignition whilst being removed. I Haven't looked in ...

Re: Dust from industrial laser.

Sorry, not being helpful, but I am going to follow this post myself.
We also have the same issue and have currently resorted to having it taken by our hazardous waste contactor.
Interested to see how others deal with theirs.

Re: Bifocal Safety glasses FLT Driver

Ok brill, thank you for your thoughts, I believe he was previously using separate pairs for driving but as his prescription has changed he says he need his close ups for reading the speedo in his car. The FLT's don't have these and are speed restricted, he is referring to changing his glasses when h...

Bifocal Safety glasses FLT Driver

Hi All, Not sure if this is a silly question or not but I have been asked by one of our FLT drivers if he can change his prescription safety glasses to bifocals so he doesn't have to keep changing form his distance glasses to his reading glasses when he is completing paperwork. I have always been le...

Re: ISO

I would get in touch with the auditor in the first instance and get a copy of the audit plan, that way you have an idea of what they will be looking at. Make sure any non conformances from the previous audit are closed out and then try to organize the areas they will be looking at to enable you to e...

Accident Statistics by age

Hi All  I have been trying to find some information relating to occupational accidents and serious injuries based on age group. I recall during some Health and Safety training, the statistics showed that most accidents in the workplace involve older employees, who may be more experienced but a...
