28 December 2004
  • A preliminary relaunch date for Health and Safety for Beginners has been set for Sunday 9 January.
There is still a fair bit of work to be done to the site for our relaunch, but a target date has been set which we hope to meet.   This does unfortunately mean that our scheduled newsletter for 1 January 2005 will be delayed one week, but will now coincide with the relaunch of the site if all goes well.

  • HSfB is nearly one year old (February 2005) and we feel it is about time to move away from our original web site format and aim for a more simplistic and functional web site.   We understand that people do not want to be confused with a multitude of text and links on pages, we all like web pages that are easy to understand and use.   For this reason, HSfB needs a complete rework.
Our new web site will not appeal to everybody, nor does the current one appeal to everybody either, but we feel that even before our 1st anniversary, we should mark the occasion with phase one of our new face.   Phase two will commence later on in 2005 which will aim for complete accessibility to comply with internet disability laws and guidelines.  A specific launch date has not been set yet, but will be soon.   Keep your eye on the site news for future information.   We also have plans to incorporate new pages into the site to cater for consulting companies, or any other companies supplying products/services for health and safety.   There will be plenty of advertising space on the site and with the new services pages, you will be able to 'sell' your services on your very own page on this site.   There will be various packages, ranging from:
  • free links on our Useful Links page and our Career and Training pages with a short description
  • the ability to display your company logo and description at a low monthly, quarterly or yearly cost
  • the ability to have a full review with company logo/banner advertising on your very own page
  • the ability to choose from a variety of pages you would like to show your logo on a first come first served basis
  • more to come...
These new changes will help with the increasing running costs of HSfB and will help keep the site alive and looking forward. If you have any queries about the coming changes or would like further information on advertising costs, please contact HSfB via the Contact Us page or the Feedback page.
