Interviews
"Hi there experts!!

I have benefited immensely from this forum and my knowledge has increased enormously. I am also certain that the members in these forums are seeking better jobs after undergoing the gruelling studies. The most important activity then is to do well in an interview. It will benefit many of us if a thread is initiated by the experts on :

What typical safety related questions that they would ask a prospective job candidate for safety?
What questions have they faced during interviews?
What topics to concentrate on for interviews?

keep the questions coming...

Access Cage on a Fork Lift

"Hello all

We have a job coming up where we want to work at height via a Fork Lift Truck with an access cage attatched to the tynes. Im not sure I generally like the idea but, does the person need to wear a harness and lanyard? As I say I'm not too keen on this way of doing things but any input from you guys is welcome."

Presentation at job interview - environment question
"Folks,

I've been asked to a job interview at a zoo on Friday, and they want me to do a 15 minute presentation.

"As part of the selection process we require candidates to prepare a 15 minute presentation on what would be your highest health and safety consideration within a visitor attraction and three environmental improvements that would make a substantial difference to the zoo. "

I've came up with some improvements (visited the zoo this afternoon to try to get some ideas) but any advice would be appreciated.

The post is for a Health Safety & Environment officer. I am ok with the H&S bit but i know next to nothing about Environment issues.

Many thanks!"
