16 September 2004 - New Consultation Document: Emergencies for Fire and Rescue Authorities
A new consultation document has been published by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) - Emergencies for Fire and Rescue Authorities relating to Section nine of The Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004 which received Royal Assent on 22 July 2004.
Section nine of the Act empowers the Secretary of State to confer duties on fire and rescue authorities (FRAs) in respect of emergencies other than fires or road traffic accidents.
