6 October 2004 - WWT Awareness Day for Construction to visit Cornwall in October

As part of the Working Well Together (WWT) programme of Construction Safety and Health Awareness Days (SHADs), Cornwall's small businesses will be the next to benefit.

The event is free and is a one-day opportunity for small contractors in the County of Cornwall, employing less than 16 people, sole traders and the self-employed to visit the seminar, which will provide advice on areas of greatest risk within the construction industry, by means of demonstrations.

The Cornwall event will take place at Pentewan Sands Holiday Camp, Pentewan, St Austell, PL26 6BT, on 21 October 2004.

Smaller contractors make up 83% of the industry, which is why the WWT campaign is holding these events all over the UK.

This particular seminar has been organised locally by The Federation of Master Builders, Cormac, CITB, Mowlem, Costain, Bluestone, Stratton-Holborrow Architects, Poynton Bradbury Wynter Cole Architects and Cornwall County Council Design and Maintenance Consultancy.

Further details can be obtained from the WWT website.
