22 October 2004 - New HSE Report on Evaluation of Reducing Risks, Protecting People |
||
| A new research
report has been released by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) - RR279
Evaluation of reducing risks, protecting people. The document, which explains the basis of the decision-making processes of the HSE, entitled reducing risks, protecting people (R2P2), supports and gives substance to all HSE regulatory activity. The new research report's aim was to establish whether the stakeholder groups, such as, academics, major employers, employee organisations, local authorities etc. had been reached by the document and to what extent the R2P2 document had made transparent the activities of the HSE and if their decision-making process was open to scrutiny. The two stages of the process in the research consisted of a telephone screening survey to reach a wider scope and a series of in-depth interviews, which would provide qualitative data.
