19 October 2004 - Research Report by HSE on Identification and Management of Risk

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has published a new research report on its website - RR275 - Identification and management of risk in undergraduate construction courses, supplementing Contract Research Report 392/2001, and is the final stage of research into the teaching in construction related undergraduate courses for health and safety provision.

The study was made due to the fact that there is a growing awareness of health and safety and corporate social risk management being required in the teaching of graduates to heighten their awareness of the importance of the need to reduce ill-health and accidents.

The report covers undergraduate courses of architecture, surveying, engineering and building.   Corporate social risk management awareness of this philosophy being a key influence in the reduction of ill-health and accidents within the workplace.

The recommendations made in 392/2001 and the implementations made within the academic training was the aim of this final stage in the research.
