12 October 2004 - New HSE WebPages for Electrical Safety at Work |
||
| The Health and
Safety Executive (HSE) has provided, within their website, information in a
summarised version making it suitable for a wider audience, in order that
under the requirements of the law, decisions on how to work safely with
electricity can be beneficial. Each year, HSE receive around 1,000 reports of electrical accidents at work and around 30 people die of their injuries. Poor electrical installations and faulty appliances create many more injuries and deaths. The webpages within the HSE site will provide information on areas such as, the main types of electrical injury and their effects, how to prevent electrical injuries and what the HSE is doing to reduce the accident rate.
