23 May 2004 - Small Business Service: Consultation on Common Commencement Dates for New Regulations
The Small Business Service (SBS) has produced a new consultation document to determine the feasibility of common commencement dates for the introduction of new national and sectoral domestic regulations. This would implement a single date(s) for when changes are made to an area of either sectoral or generic UK regulations. This would follow suit for current domestic employment law, which is implemented on 6 April or 1 October each year.
