24 June 2004 - Construction Safety and Health Awareness Day (SHAD) at Cheltenham

As part of the Working Well Together programme, members of the construction industry advise smaller construction firms of on site good practice and safety procedures.   The latest Construction Safety and Health Awareness Days (SHADs) will be at the Gold Cup & Fox Hunter Suite, Cheltenham Racecourse, Prestbury Park, Cheltenham, on 20 July 2004.

There will be various demonstrations on areas of highest risk whilst working on building sites including the ‘High 5’ risks on site:

  • good housekeeping and good welfare

  • falls from height

  • manual handling

  • transport

  • asbestos

The seminar has been organised by:

  • The Federation of Master Builders

  • CITB

  • Pearce Construction

  • Barnwood Construction

  • Crest Nicholson

  • Gloucestershire County Council

  • Britannia Construction

  • Keir Western

  • Bovis Western

  • Moss Construction

  • EG Carter & Co and Bideem Rail
