27 July 2004 - New Report on Benefits of Good Health and Safety for Businesses

A new research report describing the research undertaken to provide information on costs and benefits of health and safety initiatives, has been published by the HSE.   The information presents 19 case studies undertaken by businesses regarding the occupational benefits of effective management within industry and public sectors.

Part of the research work was to develop case study material to show senior managers, in order to persuade them of the benefits of improved health and safety for employers and employees alike.
