5 January 2005 - Freedom of Information New Area Within HSC Website

Navigation

The Health and Safety Commission (HSC) and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have made provision within their website, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), which will provide greater knowledge on what and how the HSC/E are progressing as an accountable organisation. The aim of the HSC/E's Freedom of Information is as follows:
  • to share what they know
  • to seek proactively to identify the information which people need and strive to provide it
  • to inform and consult on important proposals
  • to be receptive to information and views they receive
  • to have transparent decision-making arrangements
  • to operate fair and efficient appeals procedures
The FOIA 2000 requires that the HSC/E must provide a publication scheme showing information held and how industries can obtain this information. The Freedom of Information can be accessed by clicking the following: HSE - Freedom of Information
