20 January 2005 - Better Health at Work
Initiative to visit Kirklees in Huddersfield
Navigation

A Better Health at Work Initiative is being launched by
the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), in partnership with Kirklees
Environmental Services, the Primary Care Trust and Job Centre Plus, providing
information and support to small businesses of over 5 but less than 250
employees.
The HSE say small businesses may have found the tackling of
health and safety issues and support to be difficult and therefore hope the
event will go some way to alleviating these problems, by providing the advice
and support required.
There will be guest speakers such as Mr. Gordon MacDonald the
HSE Regional Director for Yorkshire and the North East and representatives from
Kirklees Primary Care Trust and Job Centre Plus discussing benefits of working
in partnership and the Better Health at Work project.
There will also be exhibitions, including HSE and Business Link
with 2 presentations on Mental Health and Muscular Injuries in the Workplace.
The launch is expected to have over 150 attendees, including
local business representatives, Health Centres and GP Surgeries and will take
place on 24 January 2005 from 10.30am to 2.00pm at Galpharm Stadium, Leeds Road,
Huddersfield.
Bookings can be made by contacting Better Health at Work
