It has been brought to our attention by a member of our
discussion forums that the HSE has issued an alert pertaining to copies of
Crosby Shackles that are not up to standard.
A document has been produced which stresses that the copies are
not up to standard and should be removed from service immediately, and also
gives photographs detailing differences between a Crosby Shackle and a copy.
The document highlights how to tell if you have the safe Crosby
Shackle or a copy.
