30 August 2004 - RoSPA's Scottish Congress in Glasgow

RoSPA's Scottish Congress, Learning, Sharing, Moving Forward, sponsored by ESS will take place at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow on 15 and 16 September 2004.

A variety of the latest developments within the Scottish health and safety workplace issues will be highlighted, providing the delegates attending with first-hand information.

A number of Scottish business and occupational health and safety views by people involved, will include company directors, senior managers, health and safety professionals, risk managers and business advisers.

The speakers in the congress will provide information on developments, issues and topics including the following:

  • the role of employers’ liability insurance in raising standards

  • managing occupational road risk: new interventions

  • slips trips and falls

  • embedding H&S management in business education

  • rehabilitation versus compensation

  • manual handling interventions

  • asbestos, the duty to manage

  • stress management standards and more
