14 April 2004 - New Consultation Document - Export and Import of Dangerous Chemicals
The HSC has published a consultation document - Proposals for the export and import of dangerous chemicals Regulations 2004. The Export of Dangerous Chemicals Regulations 1992 sets the enforcement penalties necessary to implement EC Regulation 2455/92 - The export and import of certain dangerous chemicals. The aim of the scheme was to address concerns over exports of dangerous chemicals to developing countries, which may not have adequate controls on import and sales.
