In light of the World Health Organisation's warning of the
possibility of an influenza pandemic, the Government's Cabinet Office has issued
a checklist for businesses to assist them in the preparation of reducing the
risk to the health and safety of employees, as far as is "reasonably
practicable" and in maintaining operations.
Some of the advice contained within the checklist is as follows:

Plan for the impact on your business.

Plan for the impact on your employees and customers.

Establish policies to be implemented during a pandemic.
-
Allocate resources during a pandemic for employees and customers
protection.
-
Communicate and educate employees.
-
Co-ordinate between other businesses, organisations and your
community.
