The Industrial Injuries Advisory Council (IIAC) have produced
their eighth industrial injuries annual report for 2005/06.
IIAC, the independent scientific body advising the Secretary of
State for Work and Pensions within Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit
Scheme, have reported on the following:
The report also has an in-depth coverage of the following:

Conditions due to physical agents (physical cause).

Conditions due to biological agents (caused by animal, plant or
other living organism).

Conditions due to chemical agents (chemical cause).
-
Pneumoconiosis, including silicosis and asbestosis.
Whilst we are all very aware of industrial injuries, the content
of this report highlights just how important adherence to health and safety
policies and legislation within the workplace really is if we are to avoid such
long-term disabilities.
