Navigation

Jobcentre Plus have launched a DVD for people with disabilities
and health problems, which is aimed at providing information on the help
Jobcentre Plus can give with securing employment.
The DVD, entitled "We Can Help", not only provides information
on the services of Jobcentre Plus to help the disabled and people with health
problems, but will also assist employers, health professionals and disability
organisations who are seeking to employ people with disabilities.
Anne Mc Guire, Minister for Disabled, said:
"This is about putting into practice opportunities of
support, equality and choice to disabled people and those with health
conditions.
"We know that one million disabled people say they would like
to work and many believe they could work if given the right support.
"By launching the "We Can Help" DVD Jobcentre Plus is raising
awareness and ensuring that no one misses out on the wide range of local advice
and support available to those who may be considering returning to the
workplace."
Translations of the DVD have been made in 14 languages,
including British Sign Language and copies are available through local
Disability Employment Advisers at any Jobcentre Plus Centre.
