A series of roadshows on hand-arm vibration in the workplace is
being run by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), where inspectors will
provide advice and guidance for employers, health and safety advisors,
specialists and occupational health professionals on how they can reduce and
control risks for compliance of the Control of Vibration Work Act 2005.
The remaining venues for the roadshows are as follows:

4 October - Hadleigh, near Ipswich.

5 October - Belfast.

7 October - Washington, near Newcastle.

14 October - Birmingham.

18 October - Warrington.
-
19 October - Leeds.
-
20 October - Barleythorpe, near Leicester.

1 November - Wales, Bridgend.

3 November - London.

The Noise Reduction at Work Conference will take place on 11–12
October 2005, at Earls Court Conference Centre, London.
The HSE have also produced a guide entitled "Hand-Arm Vibration:
Control of Vibration Work Regulations 2005", which provides information on many
issues involving the use of power tools such as the following:

How to do risk assessments.

Estimating vibration exposure.

Arranging health surveillance.
-
Technical and medical guidance for vibration technicians,
medical and nursing staff.
