22 July 2005 - New HSE leaflets Available
for Safety Representatives and Funeral Directors
Navigation

Two new leaflets have been produced by the Health and Safety
Executive (HSE) for safety and union representatives and funeral directors and
those exposed to human remains.
The first leaflet suggests how safety and union representatives,
working in partnership with managers and fellow workers can assist in preventing
illness, injury and disability leading to prolonged illness or job loss, by
means of a six-point plan.
The leaflet can be accessed (in pdf format) by clicking the

The second leaflet produced by the HSE, is for funeral
directors, their staff, embalmers and anyone involved in exhumation, as they are
exposed to the risk of infection when dealing with human remains in their
workplace.
A very informative leaflet, which not only provides information
on the Health and Safety Laws, but includes others such as, Public Health Law,
Environmental Protection Law, Burial Law etc.
