Ionactive Consulting Limited are a UK based company providing a unique range of RPA and training services for all users of ionising radiation (sealed sources, unsealed sources and x-ray generators). The company was set up to utilise the experience of their RPA's, meeting the specific needs and requirements of their clients and ensuring that radiation protection promotes, rather than hinders business growth.
Mark Ramsay MSc MSRP, founder of Ionactive, started the company as a hobby which he now runs on a full time basis for a significant number of organisations in the UK and beyond. UK organisations include all areas of industry, commerce, universities, colleges, museums and schools.
Mark's qualifications and varied experience in the nuclear industry and small user sector, coupled with a genuine interest and skill in radiation protection training are offered through Ionactive RPA services. Whilst aiming to deliver first class commercial services, Mark continues to improve the company website, striving to serve casual interested visitors as well as the informed client, regulator and Radiation Protection Supervisor.
Ionactive can offer the complete range of radiation protection services including being formally appointed as a Radiation Protection Adviser, undertaking risk assessments, providing a radiation monitoring service, shielding design work and generally helping to ensure compliance with the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 and the Radioactive Substances Act 1993.
In addition to their RPA services, Ionactive offer a range of training services. Their 2-day residential Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) training courses are run monthly. They offer a cost effective and enjoyable experience for the RPS, meeting training objectives whilst fostering a genuine interest in radiation protection across the complete spectrum of sources.
